DirectRooms announces that Prague’s National Theatre group will be heading to Paphos to entertain audiences with a thrilling version of Jacques Offenbach’s thrilling opera, The Tales of Hoffman.
(TRAVPR.COM) THAILAND - August 5th, 2011 - The opera is based on the real life writer and poet Ernst Hoffman who put his vivid imagination into a number of popular fairytales in the 19th century. The intriguing character of Hoffman constitutes the main focus of the opera and audiences are brought into his world and complex mind through Offenbach’s expertly written composition.
The journey of Les Contes d’Hoffman leads audiences into stories about love, fantasy and treachery which are further mixed with scenes filled with fighting and sorcery.
The enthralling nature of the opera will be further added to by the event’s unique setting which takes place inside the medieval castle in Paphos.
The opera makes up the Paphos Aphrodite Festival which will be held over three nights from 2nd to 4th September 2011. Visitors using cheap Paphos hotels on those nights can purchase tickets from €35 while the best seats are from €80. The opera is performed in French but translations in Greek and English will also be provided.
