International Beer Day was invented in 2007 in Santa Cruz, California in the U.S. on fifth of August. There were three purposes behind the idea, A, enjoying the beer in the gathering of friends, B, pay homage to the brewers and servers of beer and C, unite the world under the banner of beer.
The participants offer each other gift of buying beer drinks to offer tribute to all the people involved in the business, whether its brewers, distributers, stockiest, bartender or simply the sellers. It is also recommended to the participants to try other culture’s beers.
