Breaking News: NO CLASSES AND GOV'T WORK TODAY, AUG.02

Malacañang Palace has just declared that all classes in all levels are suspended in Metro Manila, including work in all government offices. The suspension is effective starting 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 02, 2011. Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. made the announcement based on recommendations from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Moreover, the Department of Education (DepEd) said that the local government of Cainta town in Rizal ordered classes suspended effective 9 a.m. today.

Here is the list of schools that have suspended their classes before Malacañang declared all levels suspended:

MAKATI

Assumption College

University of Makati

MANILA

Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Intramuros, Manila

De La Salle University (Manila and all campuses, all levels)

Medical Center Manila

Philippine Normal University, Manila

PMI Colleges, Manila

Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Manila and other campuses)

Samson College of Science & Technology (Manila and Quezon City campuses)

San Sebastian College, Manila

San Beda College, Manila

St. Jude College, Manila

St. Scholastica's College, Manila

Technological University of the Philippines, Manila

University of the Philippines, Manila

University of Santo Tomas, Manila

PASAY CITY

Philippine State College of Aeronautics, Pasay City

QUEZON CITY

Angelicum College, Quezon City

Ateneo de Manila University Loyola Schools (undergraduate and graduate)

FEU-FERN College, Quezon City

Saint Catherine College, Quezon City
