The U.S. president, Barack Obama, lost 36,000 Twitter followers in just one day after urging citizens to pressure Republicans to reach an agreement on debt.

On Friday, the @ barackobama account managed by the official team working for the reelection of President in 2012 published the accounts of each of the House and Senate Republicans, state by state, so they sent a message of support according to hashtag # compromise (compromise).

Users complained that these messages saturating your account.

The presidential team responded in a last message: "Thank you for contacting their legislators and for staying with us throughout this tweeted today.'re Done, we swear."

Obama is the third most popular user social network, after the singer Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. When has 9,392,700 followers.
