Mega Solar Generation Plant in Sakai to Operate, First in Japan

In front of the Osaka Bay, the Mega Solar Generation plant of Kanden in Sakai, already in operation partly, will complete the extention works and start full generation during October 2011. This Mega Solar plant consists from some 70,000 solar panels with the pictorial symbol writen as "SOLAR SAKAI".

Already in October 2010, the Sakai solar generation started as the first Mega Solar in Japan with the capacity to generate 2,850 KWH. Togather with the additional panels being installed, the total capacity will be well over 10,000 KWH.
