Prince Rashid of Jordan Weds Miss Zeina Shaban

After one year engagement, HRH Prince Rashid bin Al Hassan of Jordan married in the present day his fiancée, the former Jordanian desk tennis player Miss Zeina Shaban.

The ceremony, which occurred at Basman Palace, was adopted by a reception held by the groom’s cousin, HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, in presence of his parents, Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath, Queen Rania, Queen Noor, members of the Royal Household and the bride’s parents.

The marriage was additionally attended by number of international royal visitors, together with Queen Sofia of Spain, King Hamad of Bahrain, The Duke of Edinburgh and Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, in addition to senior officers and members of the Shaban family.

Prince Rashid, who's presently serving in the Jordanian Military, was born in 1979 and has been educated within the UK and Jordan. He's the one son among Jordan’s former Crown Prince, Hassan Bin Tala, and his spouse’s 4 children.

In addition to the desk tennis, the 23 year-previous bride, now Her Royal Highness Princess Zeina of Jordan, was additionally a gymnast in her childhood. She was named as Jordan’s high athlete for 2003, and was awarded the distinguished King Hussein Medal for Achievement in 2004.
