Skooter reporting 07/29/11

What happened last night, again I was right. From the beginning, it was an uphill battle. The Kuwaitis has to make only one goal and that would have finish everything but they didn’t stop there, Al-Azraq hammered another nail to seal the ball game permanently. The score 2-1, aggregate score, 5-1. Kuwait advanced the third round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers eliminating the Philippines.

I praised and cheered the Azkals for their gallantry in the first half for making the first goal scaring the heavily favored Kuwait out of their wits, but then again the Philippine team suffered second-half defensive breakdowns to allow the visitors to squeeze in with a 2-1 victory at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Despite the result, the crowd gave the home team a standing ovation after the match as they circled the pitch to chants of "Azkals, Azkals, Azkals," a shirtless and brawny young Etheridge reminding the crowd that this team can only get better.
