
The Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao pledged that those responsible for the accident last week in the high-speed rail network will be severely punished.
On a visit to the scene of the accident - which left at least 39 people dead and nearly 200 injured, Wen said that the investigation ordered "pass the test of history."
The first minister said the government's main priority is to protect the lives of people. Previously, the railway authorities said the flaws in the design of signaling equipment had caused the accident, near Wenzhou in eastern China.
The researchers found that a signal turned red after being affected by lightning, which caused a high speed train crashed into another train that had stopped on a viaduct slowed.
