Flights suspended in Argentina due to the ash of a volcano in Chile

Airlines LAN Argentina, Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral said Tuesday they have canceled dozens of flights by the presence of a Chilean volcano ash in Argentine airspace.

The cancellations affected scheduled services to and from the airports that connect the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, where hundreds of people waiting for information on flights in the middle of winter break.

A source of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, the private company that manages the two airports that serve Buenos Aires, said the airlines operating from Terminal Aeroparque reported that they canceled their flights until Wednesday. Were also suspended the regional and domestic travel, he said.

The same source said that the terminal Ezeiza some airlines canceled their services.
