Yesterday, July 25, 2011, Philippine President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III reported about the country's State of the Nation. Millions listened through television and radio, while many were present at the House of Representatives.

At the venue, before the address started, political figures of the country came in at the event via red carpet. The men wore the traditional barong tagalog, while some of the women sported variations of the Maria Clara dress. The State of the Nation Address was like a movie premiere filled with the who's who of Philippine politics. Present were Leyte Representative Lucy Torres, Sen. Ping Lacson, The Binay Family, Sen Pia Cayetano, Actress Helen Gamboa and husband Sen. Tito Sotto, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile, as well as former Presidents Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Fidel V. Ramos. Also there was the pound-for-pound king Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.
