
Amy Winehouse's funeral will be held for the family and friends of the singer on Tuesday. The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her residence in North London on Saturday. According to reports, friends and family members of the Jewish singer have gathered at her house for the Jewish mourning custom of Shiva.
A representative for the family of Amy Winehouse stated that the star will be laid to rest in Tuesday. However, the location and time of the funeral ceremony are yet to be known. The funeral announcement was made following the statement of police that they require at least 4 weeks to establish the cause of death of the singer.
Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne has said that her daughter, Kelly, had come back to Britain from Los Angeles to take part in the funeral ceremony of her friend. She also said that her daughter was battling to deal with the tragic incident and that the funeral will be arranged on Wednesday.
"She's (Kelly) not doing good. She left for England. Right now they think the funeral's on Wednesday... She's with Amy's mum, they're doing shiva at the house. She's there with all the girls that used to hang out (with Winehouse)," Osbourne said.
Reports suggest that the parents of Amy Winehouse visited her residence in North London to see accolades left there by fans and admirers.
Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, said he was shocked and devastated at her daughter's death. "You people in the street, I can't tell you what this means to us - it really is making this a lot easier for us," said Mitch. "Amy was about one thing and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends and to you guys as well."
According to Osbourne, the singer was a little girl when they first met. She also said that the young singer drank a lot during their first meeting and she thought she was young and enjoying her life. Osbourne revealed that she was shocked when she came to know that the singer was addicted to drugs.
"I feel for her mum especially because her mum suffers from MS (multiple sclerosis), so she's not strong... She's not doing good. Her mum knew it was going to happen; her dad knew. It was just time," Osbourne said.
It should be noted that Winehouse bravely struggled against her addiction to alcohol and drugs throughout her career. The cause of death of the star is yet to be known. It should be noted that there was a test carried out by experts on Monday, but that test gave vague results.
