The prices of dates have reportedly been in the markets of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad ahead of Ramazan.

The superiority dates are being sold at Rs. 200 per kilogram this time, shopper of the product told APP here on Monday, adding that the establishment should stop this climb in the edible items specifically to be used during the holy month of Ramazan.

It may be mentioned that the price of the product was at Rs. 120-130 per kg, but due to its growing demand for the duration of Ramazan which is imminent fast, the shopkeepers have ongoing fleecing the community on their own and getting undue profit of the commodity.

The people have appealed to the establishment to take become aware of of the situation and take steps for maintaining prices of dates and other commodities at sensible level during the month of Ramazan.
