
An earthquake struck Northeastern Japan on Saturday with a magnitude of 6.5, according to King 5 News.
Ground zero for Saturday's quake is 25 miles below sea level in the Pacific Ocean.
The quake is considered significant although a tsunami warning has not been issued.
The quake occurred in the Miyagi prefecture, the same area as the last tri-disaster on March 11 where over 20,000 were killed.
No injuries have been reported.

There are lots of low and medium intensity quakes as i have experienced during my stay in Japan.
