LOW LEVELS OF URIC ACID IN THE HUMAN BODY: INDICATE LAST DEFENSE OF THE BODY

Uric acid is one of the factors being looked into in a blood test to determine abnormality in a human body to get the appropriate diagnosis of a sickness and its prescription for medication. The low levels of uric acid in the blood do not necessarily indicate a disease but, it shows that the body uses its uric acid deposits as the remaining antioxidant when all normal antioxidants have been used up. They indicate that the body had nothing left to fight with hence, it uses uric acid to fight off overwhelming numbers of free radical but, the attempt remains in vain.

This paved the way to the recognition of “uric acid as the last defense of the human body which led to a breakthrough investigation with convincing results on a substance known as “glutathione (GSH)” the Master Antioxidant brought to light by Dr. Robert H. Keller, a triple certified medical doctor and an acknowledged medical scientist and in 1994 founded “The BIODORON Institute of Advanced medicine, a state-of-the-art medical clinic that specializes and known for its cutting edge treatment for immune systems disorder and anti-aging. This very significant finding of Dr Keller gave him understanding that the most prevalent, powerful and function al antioxidant in a healthy human body which is used by every organ and cell of the body is “reduced glutathione”.

What is glutathione? Glutathione (GSH) is a small protein produced naturally in the cells of the human body when the requisite precursors are present. Functionally, it is both an antioxidant and an antitoxin and is a “major defense system against illness and aging” explained Dr. Keller. Low levels or depleted state of glutathione was clearly shown that needed to be replenished in the subjects of his experiment where Dr. Keller used standard red blood cells test for glutathione meant that measurement would last up to 120 days(the life cycle of of a red blood cell) out of date and he knew an accurate glutathione test must measure real time GSH. Dr. Keller did it by measuring the glutathione inside of lymphocytes (activated cells) which showed that glutathione levels in virtual time (only a six hour delay) but he said there was no laboratory test on this account. With his team of scientists and use of a state-of the-art medical laboratory, they developed a propriety laboratory test to measure levels of GSH inside the lymphocytes which confirmed that people who are stressed, aging, lacking sleep, or with any prolonged illness utilized glutathione at an accelerated rate resulting in decreased bodily stores, weakened defense, and increased risk of illness including aging.

It was found out that, glutathione levels in the body indicate state of health and can predict longevity which suggest that in the future, GSH levels will be monitored closely as its importance will be widely recognized. However, the confronting question of “how it will be?” has to be answered. Being a naturally produce out of three (3) amino acids like glycine, glutamine and cysteine which are essential precursors of glutathione (GSH) must be able to make it from the mouth to the gut, then through the cells walls and subsequently the mitochondrial membrane where lies the challenge.

Unfortunately, the human body cannot raise the GSH level with ordinary food of pure L-glutathione and despite of presence of in many fruits, vegetable and meat because it is instantly broken down during digestion into amino acids. Dr Keller’s team further explained that, cysteine, of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), is the most important of the precursors and is the main limiting factor necessary for the body to manufacture GSH. Cysteine becomes a free radical and rapidly reduces when alone in the gut consequently, only a very small percentage reaches the bloodstream and cells of the human body.

The limiting characteristics of glutathione as clearly confirmed in the experiment of Dr Keller and his team, Dr. Keller developed MaxGXL, a product containing the necessary components of glutathione that, when absorbed into the body, stimulates the body’s own production of glutathione to be used by every cell. It was awarded a composition patent. It is far different from glutathione, which cannot cross the blood – barrier by oral glutathione which becomes useless because it doesn’t get past the digestive system. It stimulates the body’s oown product of glutathione, raising intracellular levels of glutathione at an average of 292%.

In 2006, upon knowing about Dr. Keller’s glutathione, Steve Scott knew about the enhancing of the product from an acquaintance flew to Florida to meet the originator of the product. Mr. Steve Scott was interested to enhance it and finally did it with convincingly powerful results as he experienced himself and believed it as his duty to help bring to the world the possibilities for restored health that Dr. Keller’s product offered and promised.

Between 2006 and 2007 with the improved product having components to help the liver recycle glutathione as a result of Steve Scott’s intervention, a company was organized and finally launched to bring it to the world.

In the Philippines, there are various strains and brands of glutathione available in the market and its use among women is for “skin whitening” rather than as “food component or supplement”. It is available in tablet, capsule and in vial forms with varying milligram calibrations.
