The Iranian government announced today that it shot down an unmanned spy plane flying over a U.S. nuclear site in the region of Fordu, but this news has not been confirmed by Washington.
"The air defense units of the Revolutionary Guards shot down an unmanned U.S. spy plane flying over the holy city of Qom, near the uranium enrichment plant in Fordu," said a statement on state television.
Iran has not said when exactly was the downing of the plane, but said it was another example of U.S. military aggression.
Note that the plant was built in secret in a bunker in a mountain of Qom, and its existence was revealed by reports of Western intelligence agencies.
