Dylan Lauren’s wedding to hedge fund founder Paul Arrouet , was one of the happiest moments in designer Ralph Laurens life – so much so that he wanted the wedding gown of his one and only daughter to be just perfect.
Ralph Lauren had even toldthat he wanted to get the details of his only daughter’s wedding dress just perfect because it’s the most important commission of his career.
Lauren thus consulted with the Queen of Wedding Gowns, Verato come up with a dreamy collaboration just perfect for his lovely daughter.
The result was this frothy yet elegant, ethereal creation that Dylan, 37, wore on her wedding day, the 11th of June, 2011, looking like a fairy princess, that gladdened the hearts of all who beheld her, especially the groom Paul, 40.
Vogue has now captured the moment the lovely gown debuted for their August Vogue issue, with an in-depth account bywho has chronicled every minute detail of her very special day.
Ralph Lauren designed the dress in silk tulle-and-duchess satin with a draping off-the-shoulder look, fitted body, and a tiered lower skirt, not very different from that of a Flamenco dancer, adding a rounded nine-foot, tiered train.
Dylan’s bridal shower was entirely candy themed, complete with strawberry chocolate candy bar favors, do-it-yourself candy grab bags, candy-themed bridal shower cake and sugar flower bouquet!
But back to the dress, an insider had said that the dress had a single strap across one shoulder and was “fitted and straight” in cut, with “a little fishtail skirt” with embroidery around the hem. I’d say that the above description pretty accurate. Please do enjoy the slideshow I’ve put together of the lovely wedding dress worn by Dylan Lauren and her candy-themed bridal shower.
