Vanessa Hudgens, who is best known for her cute role as the picture-perfect Gabriella Montez in "High School Musical", was spotted with her unattractive look while she was filming on the set of the film in Newark, N.J. on July 14.
The cutie had her perfectly groomed long locks replaced with a short messy hairdo for her role. Instead of perfect makeup that usually accentuates her beauty, Vanessa Hudgens went for puffy bags and dark under eye circles.
With her new ugly look, Vanessa Hudgens appeared more as a serious actress, which she was required to look like in the film. The role of Hudgens is of a dark exploration of a pregnant teenager who faces abusive mother and is in search of her biological father.
On the set, Vanessa Hudgens was photographed wearing a short messy wig and a neck tattoo. The actress completed her rebellious image with piercings on her lip and nose.
The slender actress hid her perfect figure under a three-layer baggy, boyish outfit. The "Sucker Punch" actress finished the look with gray shapeless hoodie on top of her black t-shirt and maroon tee and loose-fitting denims.
Informing her fans about her dramatic transformation, Vanessa Hudgens shared on Facebook, "I have been so stupidly busy working on 'Gimme Shelter'. I'm so excited and proud of the work I've been doing and let me tell you, you all are going to be SHOCKED with how I look in this movie. It's crazy sauce. Lol only one more week of shooting till I'm done!"
In the new movie, 22-year-old Vanessa Hudgens is playing a rebellious teenager who leaves her abusive mother's home to look for her father, played by, who works on Wall Street. Her father first takes her in, but quickly throws her out when she refuses his demand to abort her child.
Later, she is forced to live on the streets. The basic theme of the movie "Gimme Shelter" is about teenage homelessness.
Along with Vanessa Hudgens and Brendan Fraser, the movie also stars. The movie hasn't gotten any release date yet.
