Tribal Journalists protest against APA

LANDIKOTAL : Tribal Union of journalists Khyber Agency chapter staged
a peaceful protest demonstration against the insultive behaviour of
Assistant political agent Landikotal Ghulam Habib with Landikotal
press club's ex- president Takbeer Afridi here on Friday.
They organized a peaceful protest rally and demonstration, jointly
led by Khyber Agency vice president Sudhir Ahmad Afridi and Landikotal press club president Takbir Afridi.Dozens of journalists from Khyber Agency Landikotal chapter along with political leaders and social circles participated in demonstration. The march was planned to end at APA office from Landikotal press club but it was stopped at the main gate of Landikotal administration office. Journalists chanted full-throat slogans against APA Landikotal and were holding placards inscribed with the demands from NWFP and federal information ministers the sooner transfer of APA Landikotal Ghulam Habib.And "Ban on pen is unacceptable". It is worth mentioning here that APA Landikotal Ghulam Habib had misbehaved and used unofficial language with Landikotal press club president Takbir Afridi at APA office.On the occasion Awami National Party(ANP) senior leader Shah Hussain Shinwari categorically condemned the harsh attitude of APA with local journalist said that political administration was making conspiracies to sabotage the Landikotal peace. Shah Hussain Shinwari alleged that APA and administration were not taking serious actions to maintain law and order in the area.APA Ghulam Habib is earning black money through smuggling on banned items across the border,Shinwari added. Senior journalists, Sudhir Ahmad,Ashrafuddin Pirzada , Farhad Shinwari and Khalil Khan also spoke and condemned APA unofficial language. They said that APA Landikotal was not
only misbehaving with local journalists but he(APA )was also trying to create rifts in the brotherly relations between Shinwari and Afridi
tribes and to put them in a bloody clash with each other.Journalists
collectively passed a resolution through which journalists community
would continue their protest until and unless APA does not apologies for his misbehaviour with journalists.
