Fifa Women's World Cup 2011 Final: Japan v USA Preview

FIFA U-17 World Cup - France 3-0 Argentina | Highlights (18/6/2011)

Final showdown between the teams of USA and Japan is ready to come on 17 July 2011. Women team of USA kept dominating the media all over the World and made their way successfully to the final game by defeating France in last semifinal match by 3-1. Women team has completely dominated the opponents France in the semifinal match.

United States team dominated the match at early stages when Lauren Cheney scored a goal. France took advantage in 55th minute of the match when Sonia Bompastor scored a goal taking advantage of lose defense of US team. This took the match to tied situatuion but US team could not hold it anymore and continued attacking. Abby Wamback and Alex Morgan struck against French by scoring two back to back goals.

These goals were scored in 79th and 82nd minutes respectively. Scoring two goals withing 5 minutes time boosted the morale of United States team and at the same time loosened up French team initially. But France started a good counter attack when Élodie Thomis and Élise Bussaglia attempted two tries in lesser time gap which were blocked.
