
Former US first lady and the present first lady, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama attended and remembered Betty Ford during her interment, Tuesday in Palm Desert, California. Betty Ford, the wife of late President Gerald Ford who lends a hand founding a rehabilitation clinic that carries her name, died on July 8 at the age of 93.
Former first lady Nancy Reagan, former President George W Bush, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger also paid their reverence.
Tuesday, from 5:00 PM local time until midnight on the public had the chance to see Betty Ford's cadaver at the church. By Wednesday, Mrs. Ford's remains will leave for Grand Rapids, Michigan, where it will again lie in restfulness.
A final private rite will take place at the Grace Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids by Thursday afternoon. Betty Ford's body will be interred next to her husband's at the Gerald R. Ford Museum.
