In Palawan, there are a lot of beaches, sites and wildlife. In a remote town of Bataraza, a fisherman was eaten by a crocodile last month. Now, the culprit has been apprehended.
A 13-foot crocodile was caught in the area and will be examined if it indeed was the one who ate the fisherman. The crocodile weighed 770 pounds (350 kilos) and was blindfolded and had to be carried by 10 men. The crocodile was caught near the site where the man’s remains were found. The trap was placed along the Rio Tuba River and the Crocodile fell for it.
Vomiting will be induced on the reptile to find out if its stomach content shows indication of any human remains. The killing may have been due to disturbance in the natural habitat. Residents in the area have now built homes closer to the mangroves where the crocodiles usually stay.
