MAN ARRESTED : EXPLOSIVE ITEMS FOUND

Ipoh,Saturday-Perak Police arrested 41 years old man, believed to be supporters of the rally 9th,possesing large quantities of material which can be used to make explosive bom

The material was found in his taxi, He was arresrted at Tapah Roadblock in the Operation Padam Bersih

State police Chief,Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan, the man was a malaysian citizen with the Cambodian descent

Upon investigation in his taxi police found four gunny sacks filled with the cement,lime stone chalk mixture,boraz decahydrate,five claws bowl,plastic bags filled with the sand, a plastic barrel filled with liquid suspected to be r acid or petrol

The suspects has been detained under Section 3 of Corrosive an Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958

He would remand for 11 days for futher investigation

"we will investigate his motive, whether he had any link wiith the illegal gathering or Bersih Rally in Kuala Lumpur," he said
