After days of rumors, social networking site Facebook said Wednesday that allow users to make video calls on their chat service through an agreement with Skype.

After the president of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, announced days ago that it would launch something "impressive", the employer confirmed the rumors in a presentation at its offices in Palo Alto, California.

The announcement comes a week after Google launched its own social network, Google + click, which also offers video calling.

In his presentation, Zuckerberg said that the network reached 750 million members.
