Roaming - Calling from abroad

The European Commission has proposed to reduce the cost of "roaming", ie the price you pay to use the cell phone outside the country of registration.

The aim is to impose a lower ceiling for the cost of this service, which could come into force in July 2014.

By then, the mobile client may also have separate contracts at home and abroad.

Would be able to use your phone number, but could switch to an independent operator when visiting another country and thus pay less for surfing the web or download music or photos.

At present, mobile phone users can purchase a local SIM card in the country in which they are traveling, but this means they must use a different phone number than usual.
