I am simply throwing this out there in the highly competitive news industry. I have noticed a certain contributor recently that not only copies all the words in their original format, from another source and without any crediting, but also puts the exact title used on the other news source in the titles here. Now, I am simply asking, what happened to the credibility or "flag" options for reports on Allvoices?
Do we care anymore?
Thanks for your comments below.
Perhaps I am the only one that no longer has the option to "flag" another report - I hadn't thought it necessary for some time but just read two reports that are VERBATIM stolen from another site to include the exact same titles. Is this what Allvoices accepts going forward?
UPDATE: I can see the "flag" button again on this report and all others. I will simply flag the reports that i know are simply copy and paste - the reason I was suspicious in the first place, is because I had read the stories elsewhere already. Eric.
Note: Here is a third example from the contributor neosee where you can clearly enjoy reading his or her article, but is it his or hers? Compare the following two reports and you will see a third example where the title and content have been reused and no credit given to the original author, who in this case was John Cross.
If all I am required to do is find juicy articles and repost them on Allvoices, I can start doing that too, but won't this bring lawsuits upon Allvoices?
Please correct me if my suspicions are false or misguided!
