Okinawa's fisher boat, Mitsumaru and its skipper, Yoshimitsu Shimabukuro (70) was rescued on June 30 by the Japan Coast Guard vessel 70 kilometers off shore of Kochi prefecture. Mr Shimabukuro's life is in no danger after drifting 20 days.

According to the Coast Guard, Mr Shimabukuro reportedly said that due to the engine's trouble he could not contact with wireless. Fisher's ship Mitsumaru had been missing since June 10th and the Okinawa's Coastal Guard gave up searching activities by June 26th.

The ship was found after adrift of nearly 1,000 kilometers. Mr Shimabukuro did not have stock of foods, yet had some water reserved for the cleaning.
