
Machang, Kelantan - A wild females captured by the Department of Wildlife and Parks country (DWNP) Kelantan on Monday in the jungle at Kampung Pek, near here, successfully removed this morning.
Kelantan Wildlife Department director, Rahmat Topani said, the transfer was done by two trained elephants "Che Mek and Kalor" took one hour beginning at 9 am as far as one kilometer.
"Both elephants were brought the females aged 25 and weighing over two tonnes to the left and right arm up the truck," he told reporters when met at the Kampung Pek, near here, today.
He said his, colleagues were expelled from the settlement since last week and he will continue to monitor that the group did not return destructive elephant population of plants.
He said, the elephants will be taken to the National Elephant Conservation Centre, Kuala Gandah, Pahang to be trained.
