Bush claims "Wall Street got drunk.."
President George W. Bush

President Bush, apparently, has an explanation to offer for the housing market slump that has elicited both domestic and international economic turmoil. Simply put, "Wall Street got drunk."

Bush shared his opinion at a private event in Houston thrown to raise money for Republican congressional candidate Pete Olson. His statement was recorded on a cell phone camera and posted to YouTube on Tuesday.

"There's no question about it. Wall Street got drunk," Bush mused. "It got drunk and now it's got a hangover. The question is, how long will it sober up and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments?"
