MLB LOS ANGELES DODGERS FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY 6-27-2011

The Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday asked U.S. authorities to legal protection from their creditors in bankruptcy, known as Chapter 11 to try to overcome their financial liquidity problems.

Frank McCourt, the current owner of the U.S. team directly accused the baseball commissioner, Bud Selig, to be the "guilty" for not having authorized the television contract that the team had agreed with the Fox News Sunday

In a statement, the team explained that protection be permitted to obtain sufficient funding to ensure the economic stability of the long-term franchise.
