Cameroun 2011: Paul Biya; Comment il traite ses proches collaborateurs

The Northwest Coordination Unit of the CPDM headed by John Begheni Ndeh is actually making a tour of the region to canvas for more militants. After Momo, Boyo Divisions respectively, on June 23, 2011, the delegation led by former transport Minister cum General Manager of the Northwest Development Authority-MIDENO stormed Nkambe in Donga Mantung Division to adopt strategies to improve on the registration of voters. Addressing militants, sympathizers and would-be militants of the CPDM at the Nkambe Community hall, JB Ndeh told the crowd that his mission is thereof for them to adopt strategies as to how they could mobilize and sensitize more Cameroonians to heed to the believe that President Biya is the best candidate to support now. “President Biya is the only candidate that inspires hope for a better Cameroon” he noted. According to JB Ndeh, the creation of the Coordination Unit of the CPDM is a success story because barely five years after it creation it bored fruits with the memorable outcome of the 2007 Twin Elections in which the CPDM scored an unprecedented victory of 19 councils out of 34 and 09 Parliamentary seats out of 20 in the North West Region. He said after that brilliant performance, “President Biya became convinced of our unalloyed support and appointed our brothers, Ngafeeson Emmanuel and Dr. Fuh Calistus into his Government” all sons of Donga Mantung Division. Besides, he also said that President Biya did not only appoint four sons and daughters of the Northwest Region as Ministers, “he also appointed H.E Yang Philemon as Prime Minister and Head of Government”. JB Ndeh used the occasion to present to the people of Donga Mntung Divvision some of the Presidential largess like the grading of the Bamenda Ring Road, the creation of the Bamenda University, the thermal plant and the referral hospital as exceptional honours from President Biya to the Northwest and said Northwest Region has all the reasons to vote for President Biya because “President Biya is the only visionary leader of our time. A man God has chosen and who through him God showers us with abundance of peace and stability in this great nation”.

Harping on why the Coordination Unit was moved from Bamenda to the Divisional headquarters, he disclosed that on May 28, 2011, it was resolved that amongst others, they should carryout a tour of the region to execute and enforce the assignments to delegations from the Central Committee with regard to boosting voters registration, reasons why the coordination unit has taken the challenge to boost grassroot militants consolidate CPDM political gains in the Northwest region to remain in the political limelight given that the region is the heart-beat of the opposition SDF.

During the meeting, the Secretary General of the Northwest Coordination Unit of the CPDM presented a strategic plan of action on voters’ mobilization in which he stressed amongst others that the wings of the party should always reflect on.

At the end of the meeting, a support march headed by JB NDEH took the militants round the town. It should be noted that a Motion of Thanks and Support was also issued calling on President Biya to contest in the upcoming Presidential Elections. The motion also took notice of the decision by President Biya to reduce the cost of obtaining a national identity card from 7000 FCFA to 2000 and later to zero FCFA. It should be noted that registration of voters in Donga Mantung Division has risen from 78.712 in 2007 to 82.565 as of June 24, 2011. Notwithstanding, we gathered that CPDM in Donga Mantung is suffering from leadership crisis. In Ako for example, Hon. Ntoi is aging out and should be retired if not the CPDM will meet it waterloo. In Ndu, Hon, Talla Kwakar has been there for donkey years. His output according to indicators will not meet present day challenges. He passes time sleeping in meetings which is not good enough for a leader. In Nkambe, the leadership of the party is wallowing in hypocrisy with Paul Ngabir as Section President another indicator which is not healthy enough. In Nwa, even though Hon. Mbukseck is a political strategist, there are a lot of cracks due to the untimely death of the mayor Yakabong Paul and the differences between Dr. Ngomfe Loma David and the Member of Parliament who doubles as Section President. From all indications, only Misaje is out of the lot. However, militants are yeaning for the reorganization of the Ndu, Nkambe, Ako and Nwa Sections while reconciliation is very necessary in Nwa. If not, the unexpected may likely take place some militants observed during the meeting.
