It looked like a scene from the romantic animated movie Tangled, when about 8,000 Chinese flying lanterns were released, during the Kupala Night in Poznan, Poland to celebrate the shortest night of the year, known as Midsummer Night or St John's Night on Tuesday, 21 June, 2011.

The event celebrated by the residents in the city was advertised on Facebook and thousands of people gathered on the fields in the city as the sun went down to enjoy the evening that represents fire, water, sun and moon, fertility, harvest, happiness and love.

The night was believed to be the most romantic night in Poland, as thousands of couples kissed and looked up together to the flying lanterns, as they began to resemble the twinkling stars.

It was a new Polish record for the most flying lanterns released on one time, and now the event organizers are planing to break the Guinness world record next year at the same event.
