Former sportsman and actor OJ Simpson has confessed of murdering his former wife, and will be making the confession again on the television
It seems that’s wish has been granted, as former sportsman and actor, OJ Simpson has agreed to admit to Oprah on TV, that he killed his own wife. According to the National Enquirer, OJ Simpson has already admitted to the murder of his former wife, and Ronald Goldman, to one of Oprah’s producers. OJ Simpson made the confession in the jail and he also said that he agrees to make a public confession on TV, with Oprah Winfrey as the interviewer.
Oprah Winfrey had once mentioned on TV, that one of her regrets was that she never got the shamed former sportsman to confess to the killing, but now she will not have that regret for long. “I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me,” Winfrey told an enthusiastic crowd of listeners. “And I am going to make that happen, people. I don’t just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson,” she added.
According to the details provided regarding the killing, it is being reported that OJ Simpson told the producer of Oprah Winfrey Show, that he indeed murdered his wife Nicole Brown Simpson. OJ Simpson added however, that he had done that in self-defense. OJ Simpson said; “Tell Oprah that yes, I did it. I killed Nicole, but it was in self-defense. She pulled a knife on me and I had to defend myself”.
Oprah Winfrey was quite convinced that she would get OJ Simpson to confess of the crime, but many people were wondering, that why would he ever do that. But it seems that the answer was quite apparent to Oprah Winfrey herself. Legally, OJ Simpson cannot be tried again as he has been acquitted of the murders already. After the acquittal, he cannot be tried again. Simpson has only been found guilty for kidnapping and robbery, for which he is serving a nine-year sentence. By admitting to the crime publically, Simpson can get rehabilitation in front of people, but that is only a chance which he is willing to take.
The only benefit which OJ Simpson’s confession will now have is that the police will be able to end Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldmans’ search in golf-courses across America and close this case.
