Memorial services of Peshawar cantt blast victims have been praying in different cities.

Peshawar, June 12, 2011, thirty seven people memorial services including local journalist have been pray in different parts of KPK Province. More then 37 people killed and 109 people injured in twin blast in Peshawar cantt yesterday night.

According to police the first blast occurred in a small restaurant at the back of the Khyber Super Market in Peshawar Cantonment at around 11:45pm. When people, many of them journalists, gathered at the site of the explosion for coverage and rescue of the wounded, another powerful bomb ripped through.



In result local journalist Asfandyar Khan Chamkani killed in blast the injured journalists included Sub-Editor of The News Barkatullah Marwat, Imran Bukhari and Safiullah of Dunya News and Fawad Ali Shah, a free-lancer.



Army and policemen cordoned off the area after the explosions. Officials of Rescue 1122 and other organizations were carrying the wounded to the Lady Reading Hospital. The fire brigade was busy in extinguishing the fire. Bomb disposals unit confirmed that 10 kilogram explosive used in blast.
