Mark R. Lewis, the brother of murdered Naperville woman, Cathleen A. Lewis, has been named as a "person of interest" in that crime by Naperville Police Department. Cathleen was found beaten to death on Wednesday night.
Mr Lewis, who lives in lakemoor, has not been seen for the last few days by anyone. At first police said that they just wanted to know that he was OK but now they want to question him in relation to the murder of his sister.
Sgt. Gregg Bell, of Naperville Police Department said Mr Lewis “was involved in identity theft and forgery of his mother’s bank account.” The police would not say anything else at this point about the case.
Police have issued a picture of Lewis in his his green, 1999 Ford Explorer bearing Illinois license plate number 775 8696. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of this car should contact the police.
Cathleen Lewis, 59, died of severe head injuries apparently inflicted inside her townhouse on the 2300 block of Worthing Drive. The gray-colored, eight-unit building is located near Naperville’s Old Farm/Old Saw Mill neighborhood.
Naperville is currently a shell-shocked community as this is the first murder in almost three years to take place in the town. Investigations continue.
