Finstion of Guadeloupe V Haiti (Gold Cup 2007)

Miami, FL - 10 June 2011

In the second CONCACAF Gold Cup Group B match at the FIU Stadium in Miami on Friday, Honduras trashed Grenada 7-1. Honduras is now second in Group B, below Jamaica, and has a great chance of making the quarter-finals.

Clive Murray put Grenada the lead in the 19th minute but a hat-trick from Carlo Costly and two goals from Jerry Bengtson put the match beyond Grenada's reach with 20 minutes remaining.

Goals from Walter Julián Martínez and Alfredo Mejía added to Grenada's misery on the night.

A draw for Honduras against Jamaica on 13 June will put the Hondurans through to the quarter-final. Guatemala has an outside chance of taking the second spot, but it will depend on Jamaica defeating Honduras, and them winning by a huge margin against Grenada.

Whatever the result in the Jamaica - Honduras match, Guatemala will have to pull off a great result in order to make it to the last eight by virtue of being one of two top third-placed teams.

The final will be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on June 25, 2011. The winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
