School van plunged into a Canal in Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Van plunged into Canal

Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir: Arround 13 children were killed when a school van plunged into a Canal in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. Students of Army Public School, Jairy and Mirpur School were on board the van.

Rescue teams have reached the site near Mirpur after the accident and started rescue operations. The Upper Jehlum Canal has been shut down to find the missing children.

According to an eye-witnesses, the driver’s negligence was the cause of the accident. He said the bus driver had been speeding when he lost control of the vehicle.
