Yesterday, May 8, 2011 around 10:30 a.m. at Maconacon airport in Isabela province in Barangay Malasin the police said three people were hurt after a six-seater Cyclone plane with body number C1336 crashed while landing.

According to investigators the plane was landing at the airport's runway when its front wheel busted, causing the pilot to lose control on the throttle and the velocity went beyond control. The plane later crash landed upside down.

Senior Superintendent Jimmy Rivera Sr., Isabela provincial police director, identified the injured occupants of the Cyclone plane with body number C1336 as Capt. Reynald Taquiqui, Capt. Farid Hotak Maeda, an Afghanistan national and a 20-year-old passenger from Gonzaga, Cagayan. The injured victims have been brought to the Maconacon rural health unit for treatment of their bruises and contusions.
