Infosys’ founder N.R. Narayana Murthy’s son Rohan Murthy tied the knot with Lakshmi Venu, daughter of Venu Srinivasan, the director of India’s second largest two wheeler maker TVS Motor. 28-year-old Rohan is currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science from Harvard University. Lakshmi, 26, earned her degree in Economics from Yale University and PhD in Manufacturing Management from Warwick University.

The wedding event took place at Laxmi’s grandfather A Sivasailam’s residence on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Several politicians and industrialists attended the low profile family event. LK Advani, P Chidambaram, GR Gopinath, Adi Godrej, Vikram Kirloskar were present to wish the newly-wed couple. Laxmi appeared in a red silk saree at the wedding venue. Rohan was dressed in dhoti and kurta.

Vocalists Sudha and Soumya entertained the guests with devotional songs. Varieties of vegetarian dishes were served at the event. The wedding reception will be hosted by Narayanamurthy in Bangalore at the weekend.
