At least 39 people have been killed overnight gunbattle on the street of Yemen's capital Sanaa, witness said on Wednesday.

The spiralling violence occurred after a ceasfire between opposition trribesmen and security forces.Heavy gunbattle raged on wednesday in Yemen's Capital Sanna.

Italy closed its embassy on concerns of violence after threats against EU missions in Yemen.Yemen's Defense Ministry blamed tribesmen loyal to Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar, who taking over the government offices and the headquarters of the foverning General people's Congress in Yemen's capital Sanna.

Witness also said that loud explosions coming from the north of Sanna but they are not clear yet, what is the actual cause of it.

Casualties included fighters from both sides, Hospital officials said.

There were long lines at petrol stations in Sanna and Most shops were closed in the city.
