At least 800 tons of fish, mostly milkfish, have rotted on a fish farm near Manila. Initial investigation revealed that this have been caused by the sudden temperature change.

Rose Del Mundo, Fisheries official, stated on Sunday, May 29, that the die-off started last week in Lake Taal in Batangas. Officials say they have banned the sale of the rotting fish.
