At least 12 people have been killed and 20 injured in three explosions at a Nigerian army base.


The incident took place hours after the inauguration of the newly appointed President Goodluck Jonathan. An army official told that the three explosions occurred within seconds of each other at the army base camp in the northern Nigerian city of Bauchi.


So far 12 people have been killed and 20 have been injured but the numbers of casualties are expected to rise.
