ORLANDO, Fla. (May 26, 2011) - Casey Anthony now owes the IRS more than $68,000 in back taxes, according to a Federal lien filed last week.
Anthony, who is on trial for the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, owes $68,520.41 for taxes and penalties on her 2008 tax return.
The lien was filed on May 15, and the assessment was made by the IRS on Nov. 1, 2010.
The tax lien was sent to 522 Simpson Road in Kissimmee, Fla., the address of the Baez Law Firm.
This is not the only legal problem facing Anthony, besides the murder trial. The real Zenada Fernandez-Gonzalez filed a civil lawsuit on Sept. 24, 2008, claiming negligence when Casey lied about Gonzalez being the nanny the kidnapped Caylee in 2008.
Gonzalez's lawsuit was put on hold on May 13, pending the results of Anthony's criminal trial.
