Intense armed clashes between government forces and opposition in Sanaa, Yemen's capital have occurred. Forces loyal to Ali Abdullah Saleh, Yemen's president, Sheikh Sadeq Alahmr with bodyguards, the leader of the opposition tribes have been fighting.

Hospital officials say at least 38 people were killed and many wounded. Conflicts around the home of Sheikh Sadeq Alahmr began. Reports suggest that several armed opponents have seized government buildings. State officials say that 14 soldiers have been killed. Analysts over the last few days about the possibility of starting a full-blown civil war in Yemen have warned. Ali Abdullah Saleh, Yemen's president on Sunday to sign a national reconciliation plan that the opposition was going to end the political crisis in his country refused.

Persian Gulf Cooperation Council Organization says that his diplomatic efforts to mediate between the Yemeni government and the opposition have stopped.
