Landslides had struck an orphanage near the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, which had killed 16 people, officials had reported.
Rescuers had rescued nine people from the Hidayah Madrasah al-Taqwa orphanage which is in the district of Hulu Langat.
The rescue operation, which had been hindered by rain, had now ended.
Rescuers had used bulldozers, spades and also their bare hands in order to try to reach the survivors, and floodlights had been brought in after night fell.
A total of 20 children and five adult carers had been taking part in an event in a tent at the orphanage when it had been hit by two landslides, which were within seconds of each other.
District police chief Abdul Rashid Wahab had stated that the bodies of 15 boys, who were ages between eight and 18 were recovered. A 34-year-old caretaker at the orphanage had also been killed.
