FC Schalke 04 Vs MSV Duisburg (5 - 0) Highlights - DFB-Pokal - Finale

BERLIN: After playing semi-final of the UEFA Champions League 2011, Schalke 04 added another feather to their crown on Saturday when they defeated Duisburg by 5-0 in the German Cup final to claim the title for the fifth time.

The victory has also earned Schalke a berth in the Europa League for the next season. Schalke won the match on the back of two goals by Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar which also took them some confidence after finishing only 14th in the Bundesliga.

Schalke went in front with teenager Julian Draxler opening the scoring in the 18th minute converting a pass from Peruvian Jefferson Farfan.

Farfan was back in action after four minutes when he gave Huntelaar a beautiful pass which he never missed as Duisburg were playing without half a dozen key players owing to injured.

Duisburg failed to keep Farfan out of the action as he kicked a corner into the goal area in the 42nd minute of the match where Benedikt Howedes headed it to make it 3-0 for Schalke literally taking game out of Duisburg’s control.

Early in the second half, Huntelaar managed to pierce the defense-line once again and and passed the ball to Jurado who made it 4-0. Huntelaar then scored his second goal of the night when a defensive blunder made his work easy.
