Microsoft on Monday announced it is raising the price of admission to its Xbox Live online community

The company announced that U.S. schoolchildren receive free console , but first must buy a new computer. The promotion is aimed at attracting the younger market in their return to school in that country.

Experts speculate that this move indicates that in the coming months Microsoft will release a new model of console market, which presented at the E3 show in Los Angeles .

All students who purchase a new computer with Windows 7 U.S. $ 700 onwards will receive a Xbox 360, with value in stores $ 200. Students may be promoted if they have a certificate of enrollment at the time of purchase.

The offer, available starting next Sunday, is also valid for laptops. "With this offering, Microsoft offers students all they need for a successful new school year , "said Kathleen Hall, executive marketing.

In the United States, is common to give these promotions when children return to schools ( "Back to School " ). Apple also offers a regular iPod for free to buyers of more expensive models of their PCs Mac .

In addition, Microsoft announced an alliance with the online billing system Paypa l, so that users of the Xbox 360 game console can be purchased through this platform.

PayPal is a service founded in 1998 in Palo Alto, California, which allows users to link your credit card or debit card to make online payments safer.

Larry Hryb, head of communications for the Xbox division of Microsoft, adding that it will not be available in the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, South Korea South and Taiwan.
