Violence in Afghanistan seemed no end. Most recently, as news AP and AFP on Thursday (19/05/2011), the Taliban shot and killed 35 workers. Then, there are 20 others injured. Violent attack itself occurred in eastern Afghanistan.

Taliban attack was rewarded by the security service. According to a spokesman for Paktia province, security forces killed eight members of the Taliban.

Meanwhile, 80 other men were missing. Possible road construction company workers are kidnapped. The attack occurred in the hills on the highway that connects the province of Paktia and Khost.

A shootout that lasted for five hours was allegedly the most powerful Taliban attacks since the Islamic militant group that attacked a bank in Jalalabad in February. The incident killed 38 people, including policemen who were taking a salary. The Taliban recently declared, they start another series of attacks in spring.

Paktia is adjacent to Pakistan's lawless border region, where suspected Taliban have a headquarters and a restive province since a lot of violence and cross-border raids
