THE WHIRLWINDS OF SOCIAL UNREST IN GULF STATES CONTINUE TO BLOW

The happenings in Tunisia and Egypt were big whirlwinds that swept out of power Ben Ali and Hosni Mubarak and now certain process of social, economic and political rehabilitation are going there respectively while Libya still being battered by its own social unrest and no one knows when such disorders will come to an end.

The scenario in Libya seems difficult to fathom its significance and implications however, those who are fighting against Col. Mamuar Ghaddafi are clearly guided by their respective goals and objectives and they bowed to continue fighting until they are satisfactorily achieve and install the leader whom they feel has the capacity, knowledge and skills to lead them as one nation. The certainty of uncertainties in Libya continues as the “whirlwinds of social unrest keep on blowing to draw the curiosity and attention of the whole world. The follow through Libya’s day to day scenario goes on.

The spill-over of the whirlwinds of social unrest in Libya must reached the shores of Bahrain, Oman, Yemen and Syria and are now rocking and shaking the peoples of such states which tell them that they need certain changes in their social, economic and political set ups The day to day occurrences of social lunrest in those states are interesting and worth following through. Such social unrests clearly tell them that, “there must be certain changes they have to recognize and undertake in their respective systems of governance”. The leaders in those states have to listen to their people. Know what their people needs and provide them when they are capable of doing so.

THE LEADER WHO LISTENS TO HIS PEOPLE REMAINS IN POWER AND THE LEADER WHO SUBVERTS THE WILL OF HIS PEOPLE VANISHES AS THE WHIRLWINDS. SOONER OR LATER SUCH A LEADER BE JUDGED ACCORDINGLY.

Good report. I would add that a leader who is supported by the army can stay in power despite massive protests. See Libya, Bahrain, Iran, N Korea.
