
The United Kingdom woman was stabbed and then beheaded in a shop on Tenerife had wanted help in minutes before the attack, reports had suggested.
The Sunday Times reported that Jennifer Mills-Westley, who was 60 years old, had went into an employment centre on the Spanish island, informing the staff their that she had been followed.
After a man had been sent away she went to a nearby shop, where she had been attacked.
A Bulgarian man who had been arrested after the attack in Los Cristianos on Friday is being detained in the prison on the orders of a judge following a court hearing on Sunday.
The 28-year-old had been held by the police several times for previous brutal attacks.
