Note : This is an old news, but is being printed after the news broke out that Ballistic Missile Technology was swapped between North Korea and Iran. This news will give the readers the other side of the face of North Korea.

"North Koreans are living like dogs. They know it in their hearts, but no one can say it loud". These are the feelings expressed by Mrs. Choi (not real name) after her successful defection to China in Sept 2010.

Mrs Choi is 70 years old and is a grandmother. She crossed over to China with the help of smugglers who smuggled her through the heavily guarded river which seperates North Korea and China. However, her daughter was not so lucky and was caught. She was awarded three years in jail and presently serving the term in a Political Prison.

Mrs Choi says food shortages mean well-off families in North Korea are getting two meals a day, everyone else makes do with just one.

Mrs. Choi says that the conditions in North Korea have gone from bad to worse. People have no choice but to risk their lives and attempt defections in search of food and better life.

People are dying with hunger and anxieties are on the increase. People lok for an excuse to fight amongst themselves.
